The 1999 Engineering Directory features more than 50 engineering firms that have helped design Alaska. They have worked on projects that open doors to Whittier, expand our energy resources, and help us understand our oceans.

They have designed facilities that house our college students, carry wastewater from our communities, and bring ready-to-eat seafood to Anchorage.

They improve our airports and plan our schools; help build our banks, parking garages, gas stations and theaters. They work on the North Slope, at the state's mineral mines, in our rural communities, and all across Alaska. And yet their efforts go well beyond design and structure.

They are experts in disciplines that range from the chemical to the geotechnical to the environmental to the electrical.
