offices, take a few moments to look at the beautiful wooden
benches that grace the lobby, thanks to the generosity of the

CBA Centennial: Have you heard? This year is the CBA's
100th birthday. Get ready for a special keepsake edition of
The Colorado Lawyer. This one-of-a-kind issue will be in
mailboxes the first week of June
Two historical displays in the lobby of the CBA offices are
continually being updated. If you have a piece of legal
history you would like to see included, call Diane Hartman at
the CBA. Hartman also is the one to contact if you would like
to help coordinate a visit of the soon-to-be-finished CBA
traveling historical display to your local courthouse.
Frank Moorhead
Presidential Photos: Someone listened to our cries for help,
and the CBA received a wonderful picture of Frank Moorhead to
add to our collection of president's photos. Moorhead was
president in 1945-46. Boulder City Attorney Joe de Raismes
was in our office, noticed the missing picture, and knew
exactly where to find one. (Thanks also to Helen Gavin and
Jean Kavanaugh in that office.) He had the photo copied and
sent to us. Our collection is nearly complete. We are still
missing a photo of William Hutton, president in 1940-41. Does
anyone know where we can find a picture of him?
Goodbye to Justice Kirshbaum: The CBA and the Colorado
Supreme Court cosponsored a farewell reception for retiring
Justice Howard Kirshbaum in January. The event was held at
the Colorado History Museum on a cold, blustery winter day.
Despite the weather, more than 100 well-wishers turned out.
