James T. Moran Assumes Office as President of the Colorado Bar Association

James T. Moran, a partner in the Aspen office of Holland & Hart, assumed the office of President of the Colorado Bar Association on Saturday, October 5 at the Colorado Bar Association Annual Convention. Moran, who has served as President-Elect during the past year, succeeds Alex Stephen Keller of the Denver firm of Keller, Dunievitz, Johnson & Wahlberg.

Moran graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1955 with honors as Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif, and was Executive Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. He moved to Aspen and became a member of the Aspen Ski Patrol, later serving as an instructor at Loveland Basin ski area for six years. Moran spent two years in the Army before joining Holland & Hart in 1957, becoming a partner six years later. He left Holland & Hart in 1965 to serve as general counsel and vice-president of Western Nuclear, Inc., until 1970, when he re-joined the firm as a partner.
