The Colorado Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education announces that a full-time staff has been appointed and offices established for the administration of Colorado's CLE program. Dr. James H. Klein, the Board's new Executive Director, comes to Colorado from Illinois where he was a practicing attorney and taught constitutional law and politics at Loyola University. He received his J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law and a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University. He is assisted at the office by Beki Pineda, a former employee of the City and County of Denver's Election Commission. The address and phone number of the office is listed above.
Efforts are being made to work through the backlog of accreditation requests and to accommodate all new requests for credit. Permanent guidelines are being developed; the standard affidavit form for reporting CLE credits is being drafted. Attorneys with questions about the program, their requirements, or accreditation for seminars should call the Board office.
A new format has been developed for reporting accredited courses in The Colorado Lawyer. Attorney requests indicate that a listing of advance accredited seminars is desirable. For this reason, accredited programs to take place in September, October, and November are listed separately below. Additionally a list of coursework which took place between May through August 1979, is also listed by sponsoring agency. The November issue of The Colorado Lawyer will feature a listing of all programs previously unpublished. If, in the meantime, you have questions about a particular course, feel free to call the office at 861-5700.
