Daniel S. Hoffman

Thomas J. Carney
Thomas J. Carney of Golden, retiring president of the CBA
hands over the gavel to new president Daniel S. Hoffman of
Denver. Carney is a member of the First District Judicial
Selection Commission, has been either city attorney or
assistant city attorney for Golden since 1957, and is a
member of the firm of Bradley, Campbell, and Carney. Hoffman
is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers Assn., a
hearing examiner for the Colorado Civil Rights Commission
has been an instructor in law at D. U., was manager of safety
for Denver, and has served as vice-president of the CBA. He
is a senior partner in the firm of Hoffman, McDermott and
Hoffman

Carlos F. Lucero
Carlos F. Lucero, Alamosa, is new president-elect of the CBA
He has served on the staff of U.S. Sen. John A. Carroll and
the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative
Practice and Procedure. He was law clerk for U.S. District
Judge William E. Doyle in Denver before entering private
practice in the firm of Pound and Lucero.

William D. Neighbors
District Judge William D. Neighbors, 37, of Boulder, was
awarded the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award by the CBA Young
Lawyers Section. Judge Neighbors has been Chief Trial Deputy
of the Colorado Public Defender System, was in private
practice for 6 6 years, and has been District Judge in
Boulder since March of 1973. He has served in various ABA
CBA and Boulder Bar Assoc. offices and on committees, and is
a member of the ATLA, CTLA and American...
