41Vol. 2, No. 8, Pg. 41ETHICSWith reference to the masthead of a magazine of general interest, it is proper for an attorney to be designated either as "Editor, Legal Column" or "Legal Editor." However, the editor should not be designated as an attorney and it is the Committee's suggestion that the wording "Editor, Legal Column" is more appropriate than "Legal Editor."

Assuming that the attorney acts not only as the editor of the legal column but also writes an article in the publication, he should not designate himself as an attorney at law at either the beginning or the conclusion of the article. In such a case he may use only his name as the author of the article in question.
