One of the fastest moving areas of the law is relatively new, that of consumer credit regulation. Developments on both the federal and state levels have required new learning for a substantial segment of the practicing bar, particularly that part of the bar which represents banks, finance companies, retail merchants, various financial institutions, consumers and even the real estate interests.

Last fall, a comprehensive Colorado Statute, patterned on the Uniform Consumer Credit Code (UCCC), went into effect. At that time, CLE in Colorado sponsored a two-day institute on the problems of consumer credit regulation. Now that the Act has been in effect for some time, many attorneys should be aware of the extent to which this new legislation affects their practice. The University of Denver College of Law is offering a short course on six consecutive Monday evenings on the problems presented by the new Colorado legislation, by recent developments in Truth-in-Lending and by new amendments to the Federal Consumer Credit Protection Act.
