C. (§13.7) Contracting for Missouri Jurisdiction
If the parties do not have sufficient jurisdictional ties otherwise, they cannot contract for jurisdiction in Missouri. In Hall v. Denver-Chicago International, Inc., 481 S.W.2d 622 (Mo. App. W.D. 1972), the court held that neither party to an employment contract, nor both of them together, can confer jurisdiction in Missouri if it does not in fact exist.
