1. (§12.23) Quantum Meruit

Despite statutes and regulations requiring written agreements for many types of brokerage services, brokers often provide valuable services that are not specifically addressed in a written agreement or contract. In these circumstances, the broker may recover compensation from a consumer under the theory of quantum meruit.
