10.5 DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
Pursuant to part 6, section IV, paragraph 13 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia, the VSB has the authority to discipline, suspend, or disbar lawyers. Disciplinary action begins when an attorney is accused of misconduct. Misconduct is defined as violation of the rules, conviction of a crime, or commission of a deliberately wrongful act that reflects adversely on an attorney's honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as an attorney.
