§ 10.5.1 Contingent Fee Cases

When a contingent fee arrangement exists, a litigant is still entitled to pursue its attorneys' fees, but the amount is not dictated by the size of the judgment; it is governed by the standard of reasonableness. See Ariz. R. Sup. Ct. 42, ER 1.5, cmt. 3; Newman v. Select Spec. Hosp.-Ariz., Inc., 239 Ariz. 558, 565-66, ¶¶ 25-32, 374 P.3d 433, 440-41 (App. 2016); Geller, 230 Ariz. at 628-29, ¶¶ 14-16, 285 P.3d at 976-77; Crews v.
