A. (§10.2) Abuse

Add the following paragraph after the second paragraph of the original section:

To prove abuse, the juvenile officer must prove the allegations in the petition by clear and convincing evidence. SeeIn re M.N.J., 291 S.W.3d 306, 311 (Mo. App. W.D. 2009). Clear and convincing evidence is that which "instantly tilts the scales in the affirmative when weighed against the evidence in opposition and leaves the fact finder's mind with an abiding conviction that the evidence is true."
