A suspect’s right to counsel rarely becomes an issue in investigatory identification proceedings other than lineups, such as handwriting and voice exemplars, blood and hair samples, fingerprints and teeth impressions, since a motion by a prosecutor for a court order requiring a suspect to provide such exemplars and samples must be on notice to the suspect or counsel.22
