The fee motion should explain why the services performed by the attorney were necessary, appropriate, and related to the successful outcome of the case. See S&R Props. v. Maricopa County, 178 Ariz. 491, 505, 875 P.2d 150, 164 (App. 1993) (prevailing party entitled to recover reasonable fees for services that would have been undertaken by reasonable and prudent lawyer). If the litigation was complex, novel or difficult, this, too, should be brought to the court's attention. See First Nat'l Bank of Ariz. v. Continental Bank, 138 Ariz. 194, 673 P.2d 938 (App. 1983).
