A privilege must be asserted by the holder of the privilege or be waived. SeeTripp v. Chubb, 69 Ariz. 31, 35, 208 P.2d 312, 314 (1949) (concluding that privilege was waived by client who voluntarily discloses privileged communications in his testimony). The holder of the attorney-client privilege is the client, but his or her attorney may assert the privilege on the client's behalf. See State v.
