1.5 CITATIONS TO LOCAL RULES
Local rules, standing orders, and local forms for the Eastern and Western Districts are cited throughout this publication, in keeping with its purpose. Generally, the form for citing local rules is "E.D. Va. Civ. R. __" for the Eastern District and "W.D. Va. Civ. R. __" for the Western District, but may simply be "Local Rule __" where the district is obvious from the context. The Local Rules are set forth in full as Appendices to this publication. 15
