§ 1.3.4.1 Division One Settlement Program. A staff attorney in division one determines whether a case might be appropriate for the settlement conference program by reviewing the case management statement, see ARCAP 12(d), and, to the extent necessary, the trial court record. The staff attorney also contacts counsel to solicit the parties’ views concerning whether the case might be appropriate for a settlement conference. Counsel also may suggest a case for the settlement program by emailing SettlementProgram@appeals.az.gov. If requested, the court will keep such a communication confidential from the other parties to the appeal.
