1.16 Concurrent Causes

The question of concurrent causation arises where a liability insurance policy provides coverage for an accident caused jointly by an insured risk and by an excluded risk. When two such risks constitute concurrent proximate causes of an accident, the carrier will be responsible for coverage if one of the causes of the accident is covered by the policy.^[214]
