1.10 Prior Court Decisions and Existing Statutory Law

The court will interpret the insurance policy by reading its provisions in light of controlling regulatory statutes that were in force when the policy was issued or renewed.[119] The decisional law of the state is also read into each policy and becomes part of the policy binding upon the parties.[120]
