§ 7.5.5 Appendix. Clear, legible and complete copies of all relevant superior court documents, motions, memoranda and portions of the transcript should be included in the appendix to the petition. In particular, the appendix should include copies of the trial memoranda filed by both sides relating to the issues presented by the petition. However, do not attempt to avoid the page limitations imposed by RPSA 7(e) by incorporating by reference into the petition the documents and legal memoranda included in the appendix.

The various documents in the appendix should be tabbed or consecutively numbered for easy reference. The appendix should have a table of contents stating the name and filing date of each document. Although some practitioners organize the appendix in the order the record is cited in the petition, the better practice is to logically organize the appendix so it stands on its own.
