§ 5.4.9 Procedure for Fee Applications Under the Statute

Neither the statutory language nor the case law suggests there is anything unique about the procedures for fee applications under A.R.S. § 12-349. In City of Prescott v. Town of Chino Valley, 163 Ariz. 608, 790 P.2d 263 (App. 1989), aff'd in part, vacated in part,166 Ariz. 480, 803 P.2d 891 (1990), the court of appeals held that a fee application under the statute "should be a plain, complete-in-itself statement demonstrably confined to the matter for which fees are recoverable." 163 Ariz. at 623, 790 P.2d at 278.
