§ 5.4.4 Pretrial Proceedings. The procedure for obtaining a declaratory judgment does not differ from the procedure for obtaining any other form of judgment. Indeed, Rule 57 of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure provides that the “procedure for obtaining a declaratory judgment shall be in accordance with these Rules . . . .” The federal version of that Rule contains a provision that is identical to the state Rule in all significant respects.
