§ 4.11.1 Objections Required To Preserve Claims of Error. Trial counsel must make a timely objection to a trial court’s ruling because failure to object at trial generally waives all except fundamental errors. Ariz. R. Evid. 103(a); State v. Ebert, 192 Ariz. 286, 288, ¶ 7, 964 P.2d 487, 489 (App. 1998) (citing State v. Bible, 175 Ariz. 549, 572, 858 P.2d 1152, 1175 (1993)). See § 4.11.5 (discussing the nature of fundamental error).
