§ 3.4 Taking An Appeal. Civil appeals and cross-appeals from the superior court to an appellate court are taken by timely filing a notice of appeal with the superior court clerk. See ARCAP 8(a). NOTE: THIS TIMELY FILING IS A JURISDICTIONAL REQUIREMENT. See ARCAP 8(a) cmt. THE TIME FOR FILING A NOTICE OF APPEAL MAY NOT BE SHORTENED OR EXTENDED. See ARCAP 5(b).
