§ 22.01 INTRODUCTION

This chapter reviews the application of CR 26 through 37 of the Superior Court Civil Rules to family law litigation. Topics to be covered include depositions upon oral examination or written questions; written interrogatories; production of documents or things; permission to enter upon land or other property for inspection and other purposes; physical and mental examinations; and requests for admissions. This chapter is not intended to be an in-depth review of all aspects of the civil discovery rules. The scope of the chapter is limited to application of the discovery rules by the family law practitioner in preparing for trial or settlement, and in adequately advising the client concerning settlement.
