"Capable adults may make their own healthcare decisions." ORS 127.507. Additionally, a capable adult may execute an advance directive, which is a document that facilitates (1) appointing a healthcare representative and one or more alternative healthcare representatives; and, if desired, (2) providing instructions to the healthcare representative.
