§ 11.2.5.2 The “Lodestar” Method. When counsel has kept track of the hours spent but is not paid on an hourly basis, the court may compute an award by using the “lodestar” method, i.e., multiplying the hours expended by a reasonable hourly rate of compensation and adjusting the total up or down depending on certain factors. See Schweiger v. China Doll Rest., Inc., 138 Ariz. 183, 186 n.5, 673 P.2d 927, 930 n.5 (App. 1983).
