§ 1.8 Certificates of Insurance

Per its terms, the Certificate of Liability Insurance states that it does not alter the coverage provided under the insurance policies identified in the certificate and does not confer coverage under the policies. Specifically the typical Acord Certificate of Liability Insurance form states: "This certificate is issued as a matter of information only and confers no rights upon the certificate holder, this certificate does not amend, extend or alter the coverage afforded by the policies" identified therein.
