§ 1.4 INSURANCE RULES AFFECTING FOREIGN DRIVERS

The State of Oregon requires that every driver carry a certain mandatory amount of liability insurance. See ORS 806.010. Specifically, the law requires all drivers to carry minimum liability auto insurance in the amount of $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per crash for bodily injury to others, and $20,000 for property damage. ORS 806.070(2). Each liability policy must also include personal injury protection (PIP) in the amount of $15,000 per person and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage of $25,000/$50,000...
