§ 1.1.3 Summary of Procedural and Statutory Rules Governing Issuance. The issuance of injunctions in Arizona is controlled by the terms of Rule 65 of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, and the provisions of A.R.S. §§ 12-1801 to -1808 . Appeal from the granting or denying of injunctive orders is controlled by A.R.S. § 12-2101 . Additionally, there are a number of statutes which provide for injunctive relief with regard to particular subjects. See, e.g., A.R.S. §23-419 .

Rule 65 is currently divided into nine subdivisions. Section a provides for the securing of a preliminary injunction and was adopted verbatim from the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Sections b and c deal with the modification or dissolution of preliminary injunctions. These sections were incorporated into Rule 65 from existing Arizona procedure and have no counterparts in the Federal Rules.
