Several years ago, a study was published by the William E. Smith Institute for Association Research called "Where the Winners Meet: Why Happier, More Successful People Gravitate Toward Associations." This study revealed that, on average, association members earn higher salaries, like their jobs more and are happier people than those who do not join associations. Being a member did not necessarily directly lead to success, but rather the people who are at the top of their profession join their professional association.

LMA is certainly where the winners meet in the legal industry. That attribute is common across our leaders and through the excellent work that LMA members do on a daily basis--as evidenced by the Your Honor Awards submissions received this year.

Submissions that shone the brightest were hyper-focused on a particular project or single goal, had client relationships at their core and were executed flawlessly. Their success wasn't just in the execution, but also in the critical look at the originating goal and the various ways the team could achieve that goal, along with the ultimate selection of the final tactical implementation.
