Wards Cove Packing Company Chairman Alec Brindle recently announced the sale of the company's E.C. Phillips & Son division to an ownership group led by Ketchikan fish broker Cliff Phillips. The sale preserves almost 200 jobs at two Ketchikan-area processing and buying facilities.

"Cliff and his group have deep roots in the Ketchikan community and decades of experience in the fish-processing industry," said Brindle. "Their experience and know-how will be invaluable to E.C. Phillips & Son in the years to come."
