With the unemployment rate continuing to rise, a Lindenwood University professor has some encouraging news for job seekers: Local employers are hiring.
In fact, some companies surveyed during the past year by Evelyn Hendrix said they were having difficulty filling available openings. What the human resources management professor's research didn't uncover were the reasons for this difficulty -- whether it was because applicants didn't have the necessary education or training, or because applicants only applied in order to continue qualifying for unemployment insurance.See the full content of this document
