With abuse of alcohol and drugs - particularly prescription medication - allegedly rampant throughout much of West Virginia, state lawmakers recently took a tentative new step toward tackling the problem.
A proposed law would create a new fund for federal money for fighting drug abuse. The West Virginia Partnership to Promote Community Well-Being would monitor the fund and make recommendations to the Governor's Office about how to spend the money.See the full content of this document
