K.C. Squad Negotiating Settlement with Women's Football League

Summary


The Independent Women's Football League and its Kansas City affiliate, the lawyer-owned Kansas City Tribe, are negotiating a settlement to allow the Missouri team to exit the league without paying a debilitating $50,000 fine.

Negotiations began late Friday and continued this morning, when the Tribe sent a proposed settlement to the Texas-based league shortly before a scheduled hearing on the matter in Jackson County Circuit Court.
