Executive vice-president of AICPA from 1967 to 1972 - Obituary

Leonard M. Savoie, who served as executive vice-president of AICPA from 1967 to 1972, died in Jan, 1992. Savoie is remembered for having left his mark both as an accounting practitioner and professor. As primary spokesman for AICPA Savoie helped improve the organization's relations with the financial press. Savoie served as controller and vice-president of Clark Equipment Co. from 1972 to 1979 and was professor of accounting at the University of Notre Dame from 1983 to 1990.
