An estate in a wrongful death case wasn't entitled to recover medical costs that the victim's health care providers wrote off, the Indiana Court of Appeals has ruled.
The estate claimed that the victim died because her cervical cancer was improperly diagnosed and treated. Her medical bills totaled $410,000, but only $122,000 was actually paid. The remaining $287,000 was written off by her medical providers.See the full content of this document
