Legal Services of Eastern Missouri will receive $67,500 in funding from the Community Children's Service Fund through the St. Louis Mental Health Board.

The funding will help support LSEM's Children's Legal Alliance in its advocacy to obtain appropriate educational services for children in residentially-placed foster care. The alliance provides child- centered legal and social support for disabled children who need assistance with educational issues. Cases include assistance with suspensions, expulsions and appropriate educational placement for children.
