St. Louis Sheriff James Murphy tolerated a racially hostile work environment, a St. Louis jury said Friday afternoon.

The jury awarded $25,000 to Sheriff Deputy Pat Hill and to $125,000 to former Deputy Jacques Hughes on their hostile work environment claim. Murphy is liable for punitive damages to both men for the hostile work environment claim.
