Promoting continuous improvement and accountability in community corrections.

There have been sensational headlines in many states dramatizing the negligence of community corrections agencies to properly supervise their clients. How does a department reduce the occurrence of such failures? One way is to establish standards with the purpose of avoiding those risk events and regularly review the achievement of each standard. Following the review, measurable results should be published to allow program providers to compare outcomes and to motivate correctional managers to improve.
