The California State Conference of the NAACP is sparking a renewed debate on whether civil rights leaders should get involved in the gay marriage debate. During their convention in October, California State Conference leaders voted to support the "Religious Freedom and California Civil Marriage Protection Act," which was rejected by the California State Assembly.
