The deceased inductees are Leon "Chu" Berry, a jazz saxophonist born in Wheeling; Johnnie Johnson, a rock and roll pianist born in Fairmont, who is West Virginia's only Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee and the inspiration for the classic rock song "Johnnie B. Goode"; Clark Kessinger, a Kanawha County fiddler; Molly O'Day, a Huntington country singer; and Blind Alfred Reed, a singer and songwriter who spent most of his life in Princeton.
