Former Applebee's associate general counsel Lance Formwalt is back at Seig-freid Bingham Levy Selzer & Gee as a shareholder. Formwalt was with corporate Kansas City firm Seigfreid Bingham for seven years until he joined Applebee's International Inc. in 2004. He was lead in-house counsel for the negotiation of the $1.9 billion financing of Applebee's purchase by IHOP Corp. in 2008. He also was lead counsel for the establishment of a refranchising program for more than 400 company-owned restaurants. After the Applebee's sale, Formwalt joined Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal's Kansas City office as of counsel in March 2008. He was partner at Sonnenschein for the past year, according to a press release from Seigfreid Bingham.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Larsen was named one of the University of Missouri-Kansas City's 17 outstanding alumni for 2009- 10. Larsen's public service career spans his entire professional career, including working in the U.S. Attorney's office in the Western District of Missouri. Larsen teaches and advises participants in practice trial programs at the university.See the full content of this document
