New Mexico Corrections Academy in Santa Fe - Accreditation Byline

The New Mexico Corrections Acadeny in Santa Fe has become the first corrections academy in the US to be given accreditation from the American Correctional Assn (ACA). The accreditation is a milestone in the history of New Mexico corrections, ACA and the corrections profession as a whole. It is the first time accreditation has been given to a correctional organization whose mission is to serve corrections professionals rather than supervise offenders. The Corrections Academy offers a statewide training program for more than 1,200 staff annually in an $ 11 million facility.
