The following letter illustrates the importance of proofreading messages before you send them. It was sent to U.K. management consultant John Niland.

Dear John:

Here's a true life malapropism from a former CEO of a company I worked for that was going through troubled times.

After a 3 page missive about the current situation and how it presented both challenges and opportunities, the CEO finished his email to all staff with the comment:
