Summary


A woman who was pinned between two vehicles while loading objects into the back of one of them was an occupant of the insured vehicle for purposes of underinsured motorist coverage, the Minnesota Court of Appeals has ruled.

While loading toys into the rear of a friend's car, another vehicle backed into the plaintiff, crushing her legs between the bumpers of the two automobiles. She settled a claim against the insured of the car that had rolled back, but the settlement did not fully compensate her for her injuries.
