Many accounting firms consider the advantages of an integrated business software system between the many divisions such as accounting, purchasing and inventory. However, the implementation is very complex and requires complete support from management because the development teams must be drawn from every department of the company. The teams should work together and possibly even with an outside consultant to design and implement the integrated system. Their work should be evaluated at all stages and team members should be adequately compensated for their extra efforts.
