Summary


The AICPA's special committee on financial reporting has added 12 months to its proposed schedule, expecting to issue its report in the summer of 1994 because of the volume of information still to be collected. The committee is responsible for determining what financial data should be provided by management and how much information auditors should report to improve the usefulness of external reporting. The committee determined that it lacked information on what was necessary to make informed credit and investment decision and so intends to survey users of this information.
